About Me

I began my career as an educator, but over time I realized that what truly energized me wasn’t lesson planning, it was holding space for students, listening deeply, supporting them through challenges, and helping mediate conflicts when they needed extra care. When I found myself spending my prep periods counseling students instead of planning lessons, I knew my path was shifting toward mental health and I never looked back.

I believe healing and growth happen within relationships. As both a teacher and therapist, I’ve witnessed how our emotional and cognitive capacities expand when we feel safe and connected.

My aim is to create that kind of space for each client, couple, and family that I work with.

My Background & Clinical Experience

I bring my experience working with students and clients of all ages to my work as a therapist, along with advanced training and supervision in couples therapy. My clinical work integrates a variety of approaches, including attachment theory, Cognitive Behavioral therapy (CBT), Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), and Relational Life Therapy (RLT).I also have a personal and clinical interest in ADHD. As an adult with ADHD I understand the strengths and deficits that a diagnosis brings. I’ve pursued advanced training in the treatment of ADHD and work with both individuals and couples navigating the unique challenges it can bring to life, relationships, communication, and emotional regulation.

I hold a Master’s in Social Work as well as a Master’s in Education. I believe that therapy is at its core about learning new ways of relating: to ourselves, to the people we care about, and to our own stories.

My Approach

My approach to therapy is warm, curious, and relational. I believe many people have an intuitive sense of what they need but may need space, and permission, to explore it. I see my role as both a supportive witness and an active collaborator. For clients who are interested, I am also certified in the use of Tarot Therapy as a tool for insight, imagination, and psychospiritual exploration. I approach my practice through an anti-oppressive lens and strive to create an affirming, inclusive environment for clients of all identities and backgrounds. To this end my practice is anti-racist and queer affirming.
