About Me

I began my career as an educator, but over time I realized that what truly energized me wasn’t lesson planning, it was holding space for students, listening deeply, supporting them through challenges, and helping mediate conflicts when they needed extra care. When I found myself spending my prep periods counseling students instead of planning lessons, I knew my path was shifting toward mental health and I never looked back. I believe healing and growth happen within relationships. As both a teacher and therapist, I’ve witnessed how our emotional and cognitive capacities expand when we feel safe and connected. I hold a Master’s in Social Work as well as a Master’s in Education.

At its core, therapy is about learning new ways of relating to ourselves, to the people we care about, and to our own stories.

My Background & Clinical Approach

I work with both individuals and couples navigating challenges such as anxiety, depression, insomnia, ADHD, and other forms of neurodivergence. My work is grounded in Attachment Theory and integrates modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), CBT-I for insomnia, and Internal Family Systems (IFS).

For couples, I received training at the Institute for Contemporary Psychotherapy and draw from Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) and Relational Life Therapy (RLT) to help partners communicate effectively and reconnect with empathy. My approach is LGBTQ+ affirming, and I work with all types of relationships, including polyamorous and ethically non-monogamous partnerships.

As an adult with ADHD, I understand firsthand the unique mix of strengths and struggles it can bring. I have pursued advanced training in ADHD treatment and specialize in supporting clients with communication, emotional regulation, and ADHD-informed couples therapy, helping partners better understand and navigate its impact on their relationship.

I have also been trained at Journey Clinical and can provide Ketamine-Assisted Therapy when clinically appropriate and am certified through the Institute of Tarotpy in Tarot for those interested in using tarot as a creative tool for insight, imagination, and psychospiritual exploration.

My style blends evidence-based tools with a deep respect for connection, creativity, and growth. My approach is warm, curious, and relational. I believe many people have an intuitive sense of what they need but may need space and permission to explore it. I see my role as both a supportive witness and an active collaborator. I approach my practice through an anti-oppressive lens and strive to create an affirming, inclusive environment for clients of all identities and backgrounds. To this end my practice is anti-racist and queer affirming.
